I think an easy solution would be able to get out of travel speed / compressed time manually with a button.
I'd also like to see a clear indication of what time compression you're currently in. Since the clock doesn't do seconds it makes it quite difficult to understand what the time increase is. |

Agreed......this game needs a "real time" mode added to time compression, so that we can slow down to real time in the open ocean if we so wish.

Spacebar pauses the complete game but does not switch automatic time compression off?!
