Are you using TWoS? If so the your options selector should be on your desktop. The HUD option is where you select your GUI. there are 3 choices, SH5 advanced which is the default, SH3, and SH4.

Hi Dsd
Check this out:
You can see in the picture the compass has been gripped and dragged out by the mouse from its position on the side.
When you hover over it you will be able to grip it.
