Help please
So i have the WOS mod installed and i'm in the Atlantic during the Happy times.
My issue is i'm patrolling the areas for days and days and see contacts on my maps. I am not using real navigation. However, they always seem to be hundreds of miles away and always heading away. I then run low on fuel and have to return to L'Orient. I run the search scripts but they never seem to bring anything up that is close to enough to chase after. What am i doing wrong? One more thing... how do i get the draggable compass up? the one where you can get the AOB on a ship from? Cheers chaps |
You are getting to your radio contact late! You can't head to the radio contact you have to plot a course ahead of it and run into it.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=240116 Hope these videos help, check out my "Tracking radio contacts" video. Draggable compass? To set your heading? Or the map tool? The map tool should be in the lower left corner. |
Hi bstanko6
I saw video were the player dragged a compass directly over his sub and used it to obtain the AOB on the target. In the video, he said the compass he used was in the bottom right hand corner of the navigation map. however, i cannot find it. Which is the navigation map? the one you get when you press M on the keyboard? |
I believe so. I walk over to the map and click on it. Rarely use the keyboard. If you are playing SH5 and his compass is on the right, he may have set his GUI to either SH3 or 4 style. You would have to go to your options selector and select that style.

where is the options slector please bstanko6. ps have subscribed to your channel and watching the vids..good stuff |
Are you using TWoS? If so the your options selector should be on your desktop. The HUD option is where you select your GUI. there are 3 choices, SH5 advanced which is the default, SH3, and SH4.

Hi Dsd
Check this out: You can see in the picture the compass has been gripped and dragged out by the mouse from its position on the side. When you hover over it you will be able to grip it. https://i.postimg.cc/yY21P8Ng/1-Comp...0-0-Part-2.jpg Peter |
