Saudi-Arabia and some other countries have cut their diplomatically thing with Qatar, due to accusation of supporting terrorist among them ISIS. Qatar is what I have heard a good friend with Iran-It's here I don't get it Qatar is accused of supporting ISIS who is fighting Assad and his friends among them Iran who is supporting Qatar. I'm confused. Markus |

I am sure that Saudi Arabia is shocked... shocked I say, to learn that Qatar is funding terrorist organizations.

Just stumbled over some late night German news - Turkey says it is about to send troops to Quatar.
Erdoghan has lost touch with his high-flying plans for Turkish hegemony in the muslim world completely. He has changed, u-turned, twisted his balancing of pro and contra policies for and against Sunnis and Shias so often now that I imagine they just shake their heads throughout the Middle East about him. Not as if they ever had forgotten or forgiven the Osmanic past and cruelty anyway. It takes an Erdoghan indeed to assume that Arabs could learn to love Turks. Idiot. Meanwhile, German alibi recce Tornados are ordered to leave Incirlik and relocate to Jordan. I wish we would also poull out our German specilkaists aboard the AWACS planes stationed in Turkey. Germany sends more than one third of these crews and special operators, it would force NATO to relocate the AWACS fleet and move out of Turkey for sure. I also want the German alibi Patriot battery out of Turkey that was sent there when Erdoghan tried so hard to provoke Syria years ago. With many German citizens imprisoned in Turkey without getting access to the diplomats of the German embassy and without correct legal proceedings being pushed by the Turkish state in order to use them for blakcmailing Germany, I want a warning by the German foreign ministry against privately travelling to Turkey, may it be business may it be holiday. Turkey already is economically heavily hit by tourists staying away and investments being withdrawn, it must be prevented that this changes any time soon, but the pressure should be intensified. Germany and Turks have dreamed illusions since years and decades. The deepening split now that we see widening since so many months, is just the final bill that comes as a logical consequence. Already in the nineties I found no country in the Muslim world were I went to, so unpleasant and hostile, like Turkey, maybe with the exception of Algeria, which indeed simply was dangerous to be in at that time. Now Turkey goes Gulf. Okay. I need more popcorn, it seems.

A few days after Trump visiting Saudi-Arabia and indirectly (or was it blunt) accusing them of breeding and hosting terrorists, Saudi-Arabia accuses, and breaks ties with, Qatar.
![]() ![]() @Skybird, regarding Turkey: Fear not, Mrs May has just made one of the greatest yuuuge weapon deals just of all with Erdoghan. She is so intelligent it will all work out, just wait and see ![]()

Sorry for digging up this thread.
Was thinking on starting a thread on the latest development in Qatar, when I remembered this thread. SA and other four countries in the Middle east had sent 4 demands to Qatar, today Qatar have given an answer, they have refused all of these 4 demands. Don't know how it will proceed from here. And I don't how FIFA is going to act, Qatar is the host for Wold Cup in soccer 2022. Have read that they are watching the situation and can remove Qatar as the host. England has said they can be the host for World Cup 2022, if no other countries are willing. Markus |

A correction:
It was not 4 demands these 4 countries had send to Qatar, it was a list of 13 demands. Qatar, have rejected all of them. As a political expert on Middle east said on Danish TV-This is going out of control. Markus |
