As far as I can tell the satisfaction/dissatisfaction comes from what you are looking for. If you are looking for pure horror and action, then this is not for you. If you are looking for a combination of the background for the alien movies and action, then this is for you.
In some respect this movie has much more depth than Alien and Aliens, which really dont spend time on the origins of the race, but solely focuses on action/horror/suspense.
This movies does not go into detail about the Engineers, but focus more on the bridge between Prometheus and Alien.
