The switch must be in the up position for the tube door to be open. You are not limited to 3,000 metres, you can take on a target at 5,000 metres as long as you are positioned correctly and have the right torpedo and speed. 3,000 or 5,000 metres the same principle applies. Lock the target. Unlock the target. Fire. The gyro angles are automatically calculated at any range with Auto TDC. Peter
