Well, the weather can do whatever it wants during the latter half of August and the beginning of September....not sure where yet but it'll be in much sunnier weather

Too hot for anyone else to post? The Met Office reported 32.9°C (92.2°F) at Heathrow midday today, and I doubt it was any cooler where I am. Expecting more of the same tomorrow, followed by a much cooler Thursday.

The forecast over the next 48 hours is predicting thunderstorms over the north.

Yup. Along with 'blood rain'! Which isn't quite what it sounds like, so the northerners don't get free black pudding ingredients, unfortunately. Apparently it's dust from the Sahara, washed out in the downpour. Which makes me wonder whether the sore throat I've had for the last few days is down to the same thing. I should probably complain to the Algerian embassy or something...

We just had the weather break at last on The Wash, with a thunderstorm rumbling past either side of us (as usually happens here) and coming from the south. Cooler now, at last.

I know it's not the UK, but in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, it is currently 105 degrees F, or 40.56 degrees C. In the part of town where I live it's a cool 98F, or 36.67C.

Of course that's data from local home weather stations, which may or may not be accurate, and if so are only for that specific location. According to the National Weather Bureau it's only 94/34 in Salt Lake City, while in Needles, California, which is in Death Valley, it's currently 111/43.9.
