Two of the public service channels here i Denmark are sharing the games between them.

Three matches per day.

about Argentina-BIH

For once I agree with the Danish Commentator

"Take a look, 3..4..5 players behind Messi and they just wait for Messi to do something, ok he is a world player, he can't do all by him self"

You know it wouldn't have surprised me if BIH had played a draw with Argentina or had won. Argentina didn't take advantige in the fact that Messi kept 2-4 players occupied.

I hope the Trainer will tell them a few words of wisdom

It's encouraging to know someone will watch the Yanks. There seems to be little interest here In Yankistan.

He was not the only unsportsmanlike Portuguese today:

Players were banned for one or two matches during tournaments for such behavior. Even for less. Germany's Thorsten Frings in 2006, for example.

And Master Narcissicus - free kick onto an unblocked goal with just one man as a wall - and he hit that lonely, single man with dreamlike sovereignty!

Okay, obviously Germany has improved since the last training sessions and training matches of the past months (which were medioccre at best, in parts even bad), and so I underestimated them as of today'S performance.

I also overestimated the team of Portugal, and judging Ronaldo by the fearsome impressions he left in the CL semi and finals obviously was not adequate.

However, this Portugal team today was no testing case, not by a huge margin. The result does not indicate that clearly like it seems where the Germans stand.

Not before they have met and overwhelmed one of the real heavyweights I will dare to ease my scepticism. And that cannot be the other two opponents of their group. If the 4:0 today should mean anything, the other two opponents must be squashed comfortably, too.

For today: well done! Very much so.

Let's be fair to cry baby though, not much else he could have really done to be honest.
Lionel Messi would have struggled too.
He was expertly shut down by Boateng, and the supplies to him were quashed, starved of ball.

Portugal had a terrible day, for whatever reasons. One possibility, and it seemed to show certainly, was they were outplayed, out-thought and out-muscled. They are ranked no. 4 in the world. A team still has to do the work to do this, even though Portugal made Germany's work a lot easier.
