Try the 'L' key.
I think this is the key that moves the TDC from the 'Scope' and puts it over the 'Message Box' that will give you full vision? You can also make changes in 'TDW Option File Editor Viewer' in the 'XO TDC Tab.' As far as not removing steam as a no go option for the dvd I would say that being able to use TDW Generic File Patcher is reason enough to do it.
