I don't think NBC or CNN went out of their way or even had to in order to make the GOP 2012 debates any more of a debacle than the GOP and their pathetic slate of candidates did to themselves...

And, as I recall the GOP did make some snide and mocking comments toward the Dems over the Fox situation. Is the GOP not big enough to take a little of their own medicine?...

Propaganda or no, CNN and NBC are still major media outlets and not getting your message out in as many channels as possible just narrows your audience. If they keep playing this game, they're just going to be blasting their message to the true believers who would vote for the GOP no matter what candidate they ran. Preaching to the choir, as it were.

The GOP is really run by idiots who don't get it. For a party that's supposedly trying to get its "new" message out to people who haven't traditionally been strong Republican backers (young, Latino, urban, women, etc.), they're not doing a very good job.

The topic had scrolled down a few pages so I went and found it and pulled it back up with new information, not a rehash, though it may appear to be.
I'll show Neal the respect he deserves and not topic bomb this forum by starting a new topic every time I wish to register an opinion on a subject already under discussion.

This annoys me.Not being on the main channels, fewer people will see the debates, thus allow the message from the Dem side to be the most prevalent. Yes, it sucks that NBC is already shilling for Hillary as they have done for Barry for 8 years but that is how it is, could point it out relentlessly for the propaganda that the shows will be but boycotting the networks, is just idiotic.I honestly think the establishment of the GOP are trying to wreck things, so can blame it on the Rand Paul/Ted Cruz wing of the party(when its the establishment that has gotten us here, Bush years, warmongering, compromising conservative principles, giving in to Dems, not fighting fire with fire) etc etc.

Your topic was GOP extortion. I get it. I even agree. My complaint is about once again bringing up the Civil War and trying to make it part of the discussion. This lets you make your assertion about the "evil Yankees" all over again, and no one can call you on it without being accused of derailing the thread. You added a side argument that states your opinion on a different topic, and it can't be answered or challenged within the context of your original topic. Yes, that is trolling, even in your own thread.

The GOP threatening CNN an NBC is a joke since they have no actual power to pull the debates from these channels, they can ask the debaters to boycott it an that's about it.An the GOP of today is not the GOP of G.W Bush, he isn't far right enough to get nominated that's the GOP's biggest problem, they shouldn't spend their time worrying about which Dem is going to run, they need to figure out how to fix their primaries. I'm an equal opportunity basher. I'll bash any political party because they're all lacking in intelligence and common sense. But, in this instance, Reince( who the hell names a boy child Reince?) and his followers stuck their foot in the proverbial bucket and now they can't get it off. I think if we get down to the brass tacks, the Republicons are just jealous because NBC and CNN aren't doing shows about them. Where they get the idea that the somnambulant public is going to pay more than a passing glance at these programs is beyond me but, their temper tantrum reaction is very entertaining and definitely leads me to believe that the Republicons aren't fit to lead this country. They have been proving that thought over and over ad nauseum ever since the end of the civil war. I will only give them props for being consistently puerile. If they just bite the bullet and step into another bucket, then at least, their shoes will match and we can hear them approaching while we wait in ambush with the water balloons filled with urine.

Why not? I wouldn't have a problem with it. We all know that every thread takes numerous twists and turns before reaching the dead end and the scroll into oblivion. If you wish to rebut my sort of off topic comment, please do so. If anyone, including yourself, feels an overwhelming need to get froggy on me, there's always the PM option.
I prefer peace so I'll try to be more diligent in keeping my posts on topic. Even in the topics I start.

I know, but I hate it when threads get way off topic and I hate it the most when I do it myself, and I do it way too much.
