u must enable them with JSGME

yes, AND activate them ingame with the sixth button top right bar...because they will not work otherwise.

to see if your scripts are loaded in the game you'll need to use v7.5.0 test version 12 minimum of my UIs mod and start the DbgView app before the game. The mod will spit out which automation files it loaded AND the scripts within those automation files it loaded
