Did they produce anything innovative, hard- or softwarewise in the past 2 decades?
In the past years Atari stood only for cheap and buggy casual games. Another proof that just buying a brand name means crap, if the brand owners don't follow the name's legacy.

I'm not sure how innovative it was, but Neverwinter Nights was a great game.

Dam, I love my Atari ST's, still got three and spares down in my shed all with a great big box of games and software. Amazing how quick things change now, the Atari had a midi in/out that was sooo cool at that time..

I was an Amiga guy myself.

I don't know about that. I used to play Wizball on my ST, and recently got a remake for the PC. It was much harder than I remember, and then I found out that apparently the original Amiga version was indeed harder and the Atari version was watered down.

Now I hate all Amiga guys, just because they think they're better than me.

They are, but what's that got to do with anything?

My Atari didn't have that. I could, however, buy a 20 MB hard drive. They also made a 50 MB hard drive, but I was told they crashed a lot. I found a box full of floppies to be cheap and reliable.

I got one of those 20 meg hard drives for my 1040ST, bigger than a shoe box and weighed 10 pounds or more. When I got it I though "I'll never fill this thing up in a thousand years" Could be that I was wrong?

Still got all that stuff. Ran my business on it so had to keep it for taxes.
Still have the Silent Service disc for it.

I had the Meg upgrade too. Loved my Amiga, had my first 'proper' flight sim on it - Airbus A320.
