It is so ANNOYING though as every time I pop up to the surface there very soon appears a gang of planes coming up from behind, usually, which are likely to fly too close to the sub to be ignored, so I have to go down again, and my battery is getting depleted and it is only 9.00 am in the morning. I am up and down like a whores drawers and I am thinking surely you wouldn't really get such a high incidence of planes on that particular flight path, would you? Is there a way I can tweak the game to cut it down do you know please?

use my mod for better planes and it fixes the 200,000 planes constant global aircover the game seams to have lol.

also there are two main plane hyways to avoid, look at the map and draw a straight line from pearl to tokyo and thats one hwy then draw a straight line from tokyo to luzon (i think) but the line is straight down about 2-3 inches to the next major land mass due south of tokyo

stay at least a 1/4 to 1/2 inch outside of these two lanes and air cover drops off dramaticly, even when using my mod these two lanes are areas to avoid but my mod makes things much more in line with expected reality of air cover you might see.

Can't vouch for the quality of the game as I keep having dickery issues with registration and the like. Think it has to do with the anti-virus stuff I've got in place, so I'm going to give it another go today at some point.

Is there any trick to being 'registered with this forum' for downloading the airplane mod? Filefront doesn't have that particular mod, and this site won't let me download due to not being registered.

I'd really love this mod. WAY too many airplanes, so making them appear less frequently but upping their skill level would be awesome.

AFAIK visiters can read all the threads but you have to be logged in to post or download

and yes gamefront is a pain because they delete the mods you put there at random with no rime or reason

Huh, I was logged in and it was telling me I wasn't registered. After I made the post and refreshed the download page I now have access. Thanks for the mods!

I'm just going to start with the air mod, but I'll probably get your GFO mod when I start another career.

A mega-mod will boost your enjoyment of the game enormously... definitely worthwhile.

ahh thats it, the website hadnt registered that you had posted yet, new members must post before being allowed to download so to limit access to freeloaders who dont want to contribute by commenting in the foruums. you will also have a download limit each day (10 i think) so if your looking for a lot of mods it takes 24 hours to reset so if you limit out just wait till the next day to finish.

everyone here is very helpful with any questions you might have and before you install any mods make a copy of your "data" folder in the main game directory so if you corrupt your files with mods it can be fixed quicker.

welcome to subsim and i hope you like the mods

I use " Webster's Better Air Patrols " mod with TMO/RSRD and I love this mod! It also seemed to fix the crazy betty planes that flew kamikaze into the sea. Its a must have mod for me.
