Markus - I beta tested CC from its first beta forward.
It is the spiritual descendant of the original Carrier Command. You control a highly automated and mostly self reliant Carrier. The Carrier is home to up to 4 active amphibious tanks and 4 aircraft. You control the loadout of each of these - and can issue orders from a map (Go here - attack this - guard this unit, etc) or you can hop in and control any of the units themselves. That is the "main game". However, the game does come with a "single player campaign" that is basicaly a story driven, very lengthy tutorial. It not only involves the above - but also some running around FPS style as a soldier to complete objectives that move the story forward. Most think the "campaign" to be a major weakness in the game as its somewhat limiting.
