I didn't. Wow is too addictive. I need to find a job instead of finding another substance
GW2? Lost interest. Seriously. WvWvW is one big mess. When Blacktide is winning I'm like "yeah, gimmie moar, baby". But when we are losing, I alt+F4.
I switched to good old starcraft 2. Trying to improve my macro.
Back to mmos:
Wow will ALWAYS be better than GW2. No matter what all those fanboys say about gw2.
Wow has become a classic. Instances, raids - short, long, easy, difficult. Don't like PvE - we give you all sort of PvP which is constantly being "balanced".
With the "no monthly fees" policy gw2 content will soon become obsolete, boring and unbalanced.
For me personally, it was ridiculous that the best sort of gear can be obtained in what? - 3 weeks? Lawl. Even less than 3 weeks with proper gold balance and a few tricks.A legendary weapon is a challenge, I admit. But with the ...load of karma from WvWvW and a few TP and event tricks it would be possible to get a legendary within a month.
What I demand from a MMO is competitiveness and fun. But only it this particular order. Gw2 gives "a lot" of fun and competitiveness in the second place. Too many things are based on chance imho. Maybe I'm a bit biased bcoz I played too much WoW. Maybe. But Gw2 was announced as a revolutionary MMO which was supposed to overthrow the King. Indeed, there was a coup, but a failed one. GW2 lacks the variety and flexibility of WoW. Instead of giving more options, or at least introducing these which already implemented in Wow, they reduced their number.
C'mon - who has time for a 3-4 hour trip to Arah on explo mode? (80 lvl instance, sth like a heroic mode). ANet thinks that ppl get excited bcoz they venture into personal stories, instances interrupted by videos etc. Bull...
Some actually do. But up to a point. People are selfish and greedy. They need gear - that's why you kill bosses. I can go to Arah 2,3,6 times. But that is max. In Wow, I could farm Icecrown Citadel ad infinitum because it offers gear unobtainable in different ways. The bait offered in GW2 is no match to the bait offered in WoW. ANet still needs to learn A LOT.
