Not sure how to mod this but, It would be cool have a new deck gun file and use the 40mm model (single barrel). The one in the game is fine with me. The only problem I can see, is when you zoom in, it changes to the deck gun sites, not the bofor sites.

I sorta like the bow cleared, maybe a single 50 there but a 40 way up front makes me sea sick every time I took it out, I want to drive a pt, not a Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuiiicckkkk,,,....

No 40s on the bow. 20mm or 37mm only

They're several PT groups in RSRD and yes they do attack using guns only ....They're several groups that attack in the Solomons, but missing them in other battles, like Leyte. I did add them in a few historical places, would be nice to take the new boat being designed and use that instead.

Oh, those are my torps hitting the BB, just timed it with the attacks so it looked like the PT boats were shooting them.

I even once saw several PT boats attack a lone merchant, but never sunk it..

Armistead, thanks for the info. That's good to know. I figure, atleast they'd make good cannon fodder, while you make your torpedo run.

If we can get the 40mm to function as a "deck gun", that will give the pt-s a lot more punch.

Yea, they don't last long, but be great is we could get the 40 to working so they could do some damage. They also cut their searchlights on at night while attacking, rather silly.

Get one working, we could easily replace it in RSRD and add it to traffic, not sure if Lurker would care, but we could do it with his mod or make a seperate one to go over RSRD, be even easier to do it for TMO alone.

I bet I played RSRD for two years before I came across a group attacking, but with later search in the files found that he did place several groups..Heck, he even has landing craft hitting the beaches in a few places....
