I don't know. I just wrote a couple of glowing reviews at Amazon for the 1943 Batman and 1948 Superman serials. Tacky? Yes. Cheesy? Without a doubt. That said, there was a simple earnestness about them that just tickles me. So innocent, yet so willing to try to be serious with what little they had to work with. I love 'em.
