Default Pakistan let China see crashed U.S. "stealth" copter

Quote:
Pakistan gave China access to the previously unknown U.S. "stealth" helicopter that crashed during the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May despite explicit requests from the CIA not to, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

The disclosure, if confirmed, is likely to further shake the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, which has been improving slightly after hitting its lowest point in decades following the killing of bin Laden.

In other news, screw Pakistan. They're not worthy of being called an "ally" and they should be treated with all the suspicion they've earned.

Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone by rounding up the British rioters and sending them to Pakistan for community service. Maybe we can convince the Pakistanis that they're some sort of new urban warfare unit and China can copy them too.

Pakistan are a pretty difficult/complex country to trust and feel comfortable with...and we in the Uk have pondered the answer for years.

I like so many others here are not suprised they 'sleep in both camps'.

On a lighter note....those Americans amongst you should give thanks you don't have to play the buggas at cricket...now that is a veritable minefield.

While I don't necessarily disagree with this sentiment, for myriad reasons, we raided a compound a mile from their version of West Point without giving them prior notice, torched the chopper to destroy any sensitive materiel, and left the wreckage in their country. What they do with their salvage rights is none of our concern.

Given those circumstances, the quoted statement could very well have been the Pakistani govt. reaction to the US as well.

So they copy the design. They can make a cheap knock off version, and we can buy it from them. Just think off the money we'll save.
