I've had multiple escorts attack in the 'Happy times' single mission - they used a Johnny Walker 'creeping attack' tactic, which was pretty impressive.

In the campaign, though, I don't remember more than one escort coming after me.

Could be yes. It also may have something to do with the possibility that there may be another U-boat out there, so that one or two DD's are after you and the rest waiting for other threats.

But still, running away when your fleet carrier is sunk? Leaving all the men to die? C'mon..
