Heavy snow and ice bring travel chaos across UK

Well Britain got going today, all my visitors made their flights to come home for christmas....but Dublin shut while they was en route.

Still, all they have to do is make it up from Cork now.

20cm? so that like what? a lil ocer 10 inches. we had 2 feet in a day once....guess were

yeah even our cops fall victim to winter here.

Well, we had a smattering of snow here Christmas eve night and Christmas day morning, so I guess we qualify for a white Christmas, the first I've ever experienced. It's not *looks out of window* doing anything out there now though, clear starry skies. One of the things about being slap bang next to the sea I guess.

It must fall on London to be official, every where else dose not count. I've be glad when all this damn blasted snow & ice melts, hate it.

Lazy sods around here not cleaning there pathways should be fined £1000 in my book. So much for community spirit in mucking in & helping out.

Actually Steed they changed the rules if I understood the met office presenter the other day.

Snow has to actually fall, lying snow doesn't count but then again the bookies were probably on the right side of the profit line.
