The French are one of the few nations in Europe that I've not served alongside, however, if their low-flying footage on youtube is anything to go by then the pilots, if no-one else, have balls...

Maybe it'll work fine

Maybe we needed this years ago so Bliar wouldn't have been herded into Iraq.

Or maybe it'll all go to the chiens

Still, since we don't really have much of a military any more it's either this or wait for the Americans to bail us out, which they won't until at least after 2012.

Well, I gotta admit though, their air force do make some fantastic youtube vids, my favourite is Le Mirage du Tchad.

Yeah, they're good.

I've seen a 'private' video compiled by Herc crews and it features some footage from a Red Flag exercise from an American AA crew and it's so low they're really struggling to get a lock on it - they don't!

I'll see my friend and see if I can get a copy! (he was extremely reluctant a few years ago)
