You'd know it as a London. It's a 10,000 ton heavy cruiser with three funnels mounting eight 8" guns. In other words, nothing that would be carrying ASW gear.

I'm sure Privateer knows all about our British 8" cruisers and was simply asking clarification on what escort equipped with hedgehog and depth charges, especially with a single stack would be known as a 'County'

@Cpt. Martin....here are a few sils of single stack escorts (some were never fitted with hedgehogs) for you to look at, it would have been far easier if you had of been able to take a screeenshot though (I do realise some people don't have external view enabled).

I should have been less flippant, and I apologize for that.

Naturally, arrogant flippancy always has its price. In my case, it made me type "County" when discussing DDs, when anyone knows County Class DDs didn't show up until... well, after Elvis, anyway.

I will probably be cursed with 40 passenger/cargos filled with balsa wood on my next patrol, and I deserve that.

So @Capt Martin, please accept my apologies.

But I stick to my point: We all have the same ID manual, and only you know what you saw. So only you can identify it. How can any of us?
