They make 5-string basses?

And here I thought bass players could only count to four. (Or is that drummers?)

I was a bass player once....
I had a red epiphone 4 string with gold hardware, it was like a ferrari.

but I moved on to guitars, and I have a dean flying v (custom painted by myself to look like Eddie Van Halen's Frankencaster)
an Ibanez RG model, amber, with a locking termolo, in case I need to do dive bombs
and I recently nabbed a blue squier strat, since I enjoy surf rock so much.

But that's a really pretty bass!

Yes. They make six-stringers too, but they are mostly fretless. Or at least the decent ones are. Victor Wooten's six is fretless.

EDIT Nice axe, Steve. The Ibanez four strings are the industry standard.
