Yes there is a 1.3 and 1.4

install SH3 with GWX

I think that is a lot better game than sh4 except for the interiors and graphics. But nothing compared with gwX in gameplay.

All submarines types, more ships, better campaign, realism...

It will take a lot of time to see if SHV can reach the same level of completion

I would put priority task on top for UBI to finish the campaign till the war actually ended at 45. Patches could wait until then. But what am I talking about, if they can;t find time for patches they certainly won;t find it for 43-45 addon in near future. It was quite funny hearing Elanaibas interview when he stated that in some way U-boat war ended in black may of 1943 or something like that.. .F.ucked up improvisators!
