I stay on the surface as much as possible, and will respond to convoy reports issued via radio.

Once my time in grid is done, I MAY move closer to the nearest enemy port or coastline.

If there are still torpedoes available my route back will generaly be longer, crossing promising lanes. (If I've had a dud patrol off Afrika, I may make a pass towards the Gibralter area.)

Sometimes I find nothing. So be it.
