Actually that did it for me, plus all other bugs and design flaws i did put up with over the week. I cant play rubbish like that anymore. So back to SH3 + GWX Gold + SH Commander and what a dream simulation!!!!!!
bye have fun on the dated graphics, they where once good.. sh3 lays in my used box now.

i am a firm believer of moving onward and upward...sh5 has the potential.

shaping up nicely with a lot of these mods.

I´ve played SH3 for 5 years but now it´s time to move on.
You can´t compare a full modded SH3 with a stock SH5.
Play stock SH3 for a week then tell me how good it is .

I'm not. SH3 was awesome... after it was modded to the hilt. When I look at SH5's outstanding graphics and models, and imagine it modded to the hilt. For me SH5 is where I'll spend my time at sea.

I hear H.A.W.X. has better graphics than Il-2 Sturmovik, so that makes it a better flight sim right? Thief 3 had better graphics that 1 and 2 so that made it better? Deus Ex 2 looked better than Deus Ex, so was better? Bioshock looked better than System Shock 2 so was better?

Funny, wouldn't have thought that sub simmers were graphic whores.

The graphics in SH3 are not to bad, well yes SH5 is far superior in that respect. But good graphics dont make necessarily a good game. And at the moment SH3 + Mods is ahead of SH5. SH5 has alot of potential and hopefully it will be patched up by UBI soon. And then yes it is time to move on...Maybe Ubisoft got mixed up between Avatar(Ubisoft game) and SH5 that can explain the floating rocks

No, really? I would have guessed that... Curious: What would you prefer: a good game mechanics and feature with a 2-3 year graphics engine (SHIII), or a 2010 graphics engine with a simple game concept?

If SH5 had shortcuts like SH3 &4 it would still be installed.

It got old fast for me walking all over the sub to DO anything.

When I press F4 I want to be on the bridge, P I'm in front of Peri and so on...

I just wanted the Option.

Guys i have a question. I played sh2 and then sh4. Never tryed SH3 + GWX Mod. Should i try it before i continue playing SH5? Im already dont wanna play to much sh5 at the moment while it loaded with bugs and such things. Maybe i should try SH3 + GWX.

I am a hardcore simmer. I prefer game mechanics over graphics but thats a matter of personal taste. I am still confident that with patches and mods SH5 will turn into a decent game.

SH V need one year or more to stay at the same level of Sh 3 + GWX

Three examples:

Aditional submarines
Campaign after 1943 or distant grid patrols
Aditional merchant ships or units

and no mention about constan internet conection... Poor Ia, Bugs..

Sh3 and sh4 gives to the subsimmer the best overall perspective about the submarine war during WWII
