Yes, the australian government has been very sneaky with this, they funded secret telescopes with a stealth tax on vegemite and four'n twenties.
It has paid off though.
The real threat has been identified as not being comet NEAT but rather Comet Hale Bopp aka big bopper aka be bop a lula.
Scientists have been in secret discussion with the beings who are guiding these celestial objects with the intent on destroying earths civilisation in an attempt to get them to stop their nefarious scheme.
They have traced the source of these transmissions using the secret array inside mount fuji(which was funded by a stealth tax on anti-whaling protesters). the source has been determined as what is known as the seventh planet in this system. Which means this proponents of this theory could be refered to as talking out of Uranus

I don't know about eating and sneezing, but Nostradamus sounds like it would make one hell of a drink.
