Either the crew members are midgets or the torpedo room is the same size as a small church!

Well, it looks like connectivity with server IS a problem. Imagine whay it may be like when hundreds if not thousands of players will log in.

Otherwise, this preview answered a few questions, I would certainly buy the game if they get rid of that cursed DRM/OSP.

We managed to play a preview copy of SH5, but it was apparent that it was not near completion. In one mission I managed to actually hit my target with the nose of my sub, and when I fired my torpedo, unbelievably it went around its target and completed its straight course. I’m not quite sure about the outcome of such situation in real life, but at least the torpedo should detonate on impact, deviate, but not make a full turn around the ship’s hull! Another annoying thing is the need to be hooked to internet to play SH5. The preview copy would freeze if the internet connection was lost, and to launch the game, I had to logon to Ubisoft services first!
So it's not just "Waiting for connection" pop-up on your screen, you have to actually LOGIN by typing in your username and password every time it happens.

*sigh* I expected this, but I was somewhat, just somewhat hoping that they'd at least make the server as stable as WoW or something (never played WoW, just assuming).

Hm, I think the Einstein quotes is abit inappropriate. It doesn't do anything for the submarine theme imo.

W.Churchill allegedly said "Don't interrupt me while I am interrupting.". Such a quote wouldn't fit in obviously.

I have played through Mass Effect 2 and they imo, seem to shove inapproriate content onto the player. Things that break with what one would believe is a level of immersion while playing.

1. Perspective I think
2. At the real there were 50 people on boat. If you wait for modders, you will see the small church with many people like on this screen:

Nice example i was thinking the same thing long time ago. I mean in the screenshot i dont get any hints the half of the crew are sleeping what soever.

As long as we're all in a nitpicking mood - this pic is not the Das Boot torpedo room, why are we comparing it to SHV torpedo room?

Because we don't have all the information we want.

What information we lack on SH5, we shall create in our own minds. Once we imagine it, we post it here. The very act of posting our deranged imaginings gives them a life all their own. Even if posted humorously, someone will take off with it, and start posting as if it were true.

For example, if I were to post a screenshot with a T-Rex inserted on the bridge, we would soon have someone creating a thread asking why the devs put a T-Rex on a Type VII, when everyone knows that the T-Rex wasn't included until the Type XXI, and they need to correct it to include the historically accurate Velociraptor for they Type VII.

Okay, now I totally want to see a screenshot of a t-rex on the bridge. Bonus points if he's wearing the white cap.

Just a quick one:

The lack of crew on deck is not a bug. They were eaten.
