Strangly eough I have an original xbox (which doesent work anymore) and a goodly stack of games but not one of them required a 'live' connection.

But yea this is a good example of what happens when you rely on an outside source to maintain YOUR content...

I have PS2, bought when it was released, never dusted = works.

I only know of one caveat to this and it's not Sony's doing.

Gran Turismo has a pay per view TV like show but that's Polyphony and not Sony.

same here, got a old ps1, and ps2, I know the ps 2 still works, not sure about 1 tho.
