Strangly eough I have an original xbox (which doesent work anymore) and a goodly stack of games but not one of them required a 'live' connection. :hmmm:
But yea this is a good example of what happens when you rely on an outside source to maintain YOUR content... :nope: |

A premium service maybe introduced for the PS4 or late PS3 life, but the PSN Service as it stands at the moment and all that it entails will remain free. Possible Subscription items include (they are 100% optional): Customer Service Priority Access Exclusive Experiences with Sony Brands Extended Console Warranty 3 Years Access to Beta Games Early Access to All Store Content Member Demo Sharing of Full Game Cross-game Voice Chat Access Full Title Trial Token Wagering User-to-user Challenges Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and PS3/PSP Themes Discounts on Store Content (15 - 20%) Member Only In-game Content Trophy Alerts Cloud Storage Space for Games Online Music Service Online Music Video Service Automatic Downloads and Updates Loyalty Program Rewards Facebook Connectivity Catch-up TV Netflix Access Without Disc Arclight, you know better than that, esp when I'm around.:rotfl2: The BOLD items are the ones I'm interested in. |
Well, they're charging, aren't they? :rotfl2:
Just took a shot at "anti-360-fanboyism", ussualy sparks something, and low and behold, good info on Sony's new plans. :salute: |

Still have my old eggsbocks somewhere in a box in a closet. Haven't plugged it in for years.
My 360 is one of the originals. It only boots correctly after showing the E71 error first. Second or third attempt it still boots. About a year ago my PS3 stopped reading BR disks but would read DVDs. I checked around and found that it was probably just dust on the lens. So I took it apart (warranty had already expired) and cleaned the lens. Been 100% since then. I hate the way the Xbox live service infiltrates and inundates my 360. It annoys me so much that I have disconnected it from the network. The PS3 at least allows you the option of stopping the PSN feeds being shown on the screen. I have a PC upstairs with is our media server and have copied all our music CDs onto it as well as some DVDs and recorded TV shows and photographs. I love it because when family was visiting (they live overseas) we could use our TV as a photo viewer, music center, etc etc. Also, I very rarely go online to play because of all the childlike behaviour, rudeness, racism, etc etc. I find the xbox live user base to be worse than the PSN userbase. And when the PS3 is running it is quiet unlike the 360 which sounds like a shuttle launch. |

I have PS2, bought when it was released, never dusted = works. (and not to mention the memory cards that have been gathering dust for years and the controllers that have suffered inhuman conditions in both mine and my brother's hands = all works) :yeah: |
Wait, PS3 online services are free? All %101 of it?
