I hope they let us taunt (hiss, etc) in single player like in avp 1. It use to be fun to terrorize the humans and chase em around.
Oh yeh, the taunts have to be in!

this game seems to be awesome! saw several trailers now. i like the setting...and the sound of the pulse rifles. the alien-movies are very special. a must see.

maybe just aliens would have been enough in this game...but. lets see...

While I have to say that they have way too much time and money, that was pretty cool (just something hilarious seeing predator waiting in on a elevator ).

Now for something game related, first proper gameplay vids are starting to pour in (of the console version).

First 10min of Marine campaign:

First 10min of Alien campaign:

First 10min of Predator campaign:

That guy fails as all 3 species. Especially Predator. Can't wait to get my hands on this. Picking up the original on Steam today when I get home. Hopefully Steam get AVP2 gold too. Need a new game to play apart from SHIII+GWX

First off if I am sneaking right, you won't even know I am there till I am drooling inside your skull, fancy smancy vision mode and lock on weapons or no.

Also if I can pounce like in avp1 (multiple pounce with out that long ass pause between jumps, and without automatically swinging my arms). I'll introduce you to something I use to be infamous for way back when. The flying mid air head bite. I use to use it to pick off individuals in clusters of friends playing marines/predators. I would come flying out of nowhere and head bite my target mid pounce then be out of there before they knew what the heck happened (mid air charged tail strike also worked well but not as fun).

The only time I was ever afraid of the disk or the plasma caster was in tight quarters (or in avp2 where we couldn't move very fast, and the homing weapons were too perfect).

I hope though the multiplayer balancing is better in AvP 3 then in avp 2. Avp 1 was pretty well balanced with the scoring system. But in AvP 2 the predator had a huge advantage (utterly undetectable when motionless by marines, and the homing weapons were nigh impossible to avoid). My friends and I didn't play death match AvP 2 very much due to the huge balance problems.

Anyone up for a game tomorrow?

Aliens Vs. Predator Multiplayer Demo For Everybody
Quote:
We knew there would be a demo coming for Sega and Rebellion's Aliens Vs. Predator, but we didn't know when it would be showing up. Does tomorrow work for you?

Not only have Sega and Rebellion surprised us with the announcement of an online multiplayer demo for the update to 1999's hit first-person shooter Aliens Vs. Predator, but they are bringing the demo out for all three platforms - PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC - tomorrow.

...

The demo will be released on Steam for PC players, with consoles owners picking it up via the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.

* ah yes, of course Steam has scheduled downtime tomorrow.

Jeesh, got into the lobby, which promptly got migrated, twice, because the host quit. Not even gonna bother unless we can get a group together.

Thank god the full game has dedicated servers.

* and oh yes, it's a DX11 title.

Well... the demo blows. Why the hell cant I just make an old fashioned join in progress game? Hell, I cant even host a game! I spent 5 minutes looking at the "Searching for match..." screen and quit.

Yeh, but this MP is really putting me down with this. If they're going to keep it like this in the full game, which I presume they will, it's going to ruin the MP. As it would mean that you cant host a game, but have to deal with this match making BS. Hell, we even tried it so I invited Potato to my "group", but we still had to find a game to play (which again, was taking it's time, so I quit).

Oh well, hoping for the best, fearing for the worst and that stuff.
