Eh... Sorry, my Finnish isn't quite as good as it used to be.

I think I understand the first sentence, not sure though. The second sentence? No idea.

Finally and only now you heard that vihta is vasta.
Did you use a vihta against your will?

That last sentence. This may be totally wrongly translated but I'll try.

Kaunein = bended form of kaunis = beautiful?
kuunnella = to listen?

kieli = language or tongue
kuningas = king?

It's beautiful to listen to the language of kings.

Is that right?

Quite a tricky language due to the many endings added to words.

FYI, the Finnish/Estonian word kuningas is quite similar to kuningaz, a proto-germanic word which preceeds the modern English word king. Kuningaz - cyning - king.

Or something like that.

Edit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germani...rchy#Etymology

Almost.

Beautiful to listen, king of languages.

It must be tricky to learn for a non native speker. But when you get it, you will find that its very flexible in every day use.

But heres the longest word for you that i know of.

Järjestelmällisentelentelemättömyydellänsäkään.

I grew up bi-lingual, Swedish and Finnish. Nowadays it's Swedish and English plus some limited knowledge of various languages.

I should try talking more Finnish with my father, I speak more and more Swedish with him since I sometimes get stuck trying to find a word in Finnish.

That is indeed a long word!

Difficult to pronounce it fluently without pauses.
