could you tell me the list of what toy have installed atm and ill mimic it 100%...jgsme will list em uf you use it (i speak the obvious ![]() i have my fatality creative sb 5.1 plugged into my 5.1 home cinema sytem with my speakers on the walls around me. after sh3 or even sh3+gwx the sound is killing the game for me. ps i never got tired of `vassaboben` or whatever it was ![]() id swap eye candy for atmospheric sound anyday, sound is what a sub hame is all about, hell if i didnt stand on the bridge id forget i had a crew. even silly sonds like radio/contact message sent would be appreciated. when ships sink your hydrophones man saying shes going down, or shes breaking up, blkheads are buckling, men screaming....., sh4 is so good in its modded state but the sound is uttely dissapointing. so those cheers cries screams arnt used then?? ive been killing my crew to hear em sigh or scream but to no avail ![]() cheers Last edited by alphlvr; 01-21-10 at 11:15 AM. |

Load the EAX mod, just follow directions for what supermod you use.
I added in some other sound files from the mod page. I even have one set up where I took some files and replaced others. I added in many of the lines of Gomer, Barney and Earnest T, but it got old after awhile. I'll have to put the video up. I believe you'll love EAX. SH4 was released unfinished and so there are alot of code written that wasn't be able to be implemented. Not just for the sound either, look around. Hopefully SH5 is a little more complete.

Installed the EAX mod last week and I must say it's really good! Compared to the EAX mod the stock sound is pretty crappy

i grabbed eax mod, the only supermod it doesnt list, is the one i live for `op monsun`
ill be sure to try it anyway. ps i noticed my watch crew bending over (falling down) i guess they were tired after a long battlestation call. this led me to think,is there no way to mod a sound (ie one of the groans) to play when rhis happens?? the reason im asking is i notice sh3 with gwx has 50 different sound files for pressure on the hull while diving, yet sh4 has only 4. is there some reason they cant be modded to sh4.....this has piqued my intrest im no modder but its seeing a doorway thats opens the way to new experiences. if i could add extra sounds id feel my life has meant somthing ![]() Quote:

if your crew is bending over, usually they're wounded. If they fall down on their butts indian style, they're dead.
You can mod all the sounds you want or replace them. That's why so many added sound lines from movies as little mods in the mod forum. Still, many sounds are tied to events, that's where you have to be careful. What you're asking to most of us it's just obvious, that's why they aren't included. I can hear the depth charges drop. Sometimes they drop hundreds...believe me if you had someone repeating over and over "hear comes a charge" the same noise would drive you crazy. That's the problem, the same sounds repeat over and over to the point of maddness...Most people come here wanting to get rid of voice sounds. Most of us prefer radio mods, stations just like it was then. I love the old shows, news, music and would rather hear that...Now, I do like all the different gun sounds, creaks, light bulbs breaking, ect..normal sub sounds.... |

That would be a nice touch in a future version of SH... When you're in port, you can design your own kill flag based on the number of kills you've racked up, and patrols you've done. Then when you go back out on patrol, it's painted on the sail. I know... I know... it's just *gasp* eye candy... but I think it would be cool to be able to personalize your boat a little. I will try the EAX mod... is it compatible with TMO and RSRDC?

Also, on the topic of sounds:
I wonder whose idea it was to make the stopwatch ticking so freakin loud. Fixing that is one of the first things I did with this game. And a question: The volume of the voices changes based on where you are. If I'm on the bridge and order a bell change, the response is loud and clear. But if I move to the nav map, I can barely hear it. Is there any way to change this so that all voices are at the same volume, regardless of where you are?

![]() As far as volume at the nav map just think of yourself tuning everyone down a bit while concentrating, kinda like what ya do to the "Better Half" when your playing the game. EAX just can't say enough ![]() ![]() But the pinging from three or more escorts can make you nuts, Way Cool ![]()
