Right now - X3 Terran Conflict is my top game. With the massive number of mods that are available, a truly dynamic universe, scaling difficulty - its the best ""Elite" like game out there. Not to mention - its danged pretty.

Historically what game has the top spot?
I can't really pick one. So many have captured my time over the decades.

RT3 is definitely better than RT2. But I still have fond memories for the original RT.

Nice simple interface not cluttered up with excess eye candy.

I guess for my favourite game it would be Civilization 4 with the expansions. It is my Go-to game when I want to relax.

I used to be into WoW but have lost interest and will probably quit - online games don't seem to match my play style.

Anyone here play Evil Genius?

That reminds me, Orbiter is DEFINITELY up there as one of my all time favorites. I play around with that all the time.

Yeah ! That one is fun to play for a while, but I get really bored of it after a while.

I'm also going to have to add "Extreme Warfare Revenge" and "Total Extreme Wrestling 2005" to my list. Those are two INCREDIBLE freeware wrestling promotion management sims, especially with the addon databases people have made that are updating monthly. It's a LOT of fun scripting the matches and storylines. I've gotten a LOT of milage out of these games.

'Lock on: modern combat' is an old favorite that i stopped playing few years back. Just reinstalled and loaded it up and still love this game.

That and another oldie - Battlefield 2 are the favorites atm.
