That's a good name, my imagination failed me and I came up with Mako. Like that vehicle in Mass Effect, felt pretty badass shooting the place up in that.

Dowly, you running it on very high? Got to give that a try then, strangely I haven't yet.

So do you get a dog with every background story? The first bit is supposed to be different depending on race and whether you're a noble or a commoner.

Has to be something outside the game, not a single problem on this end. If I had to take a guess, I'd say you're either running out of RAM or the page-file is fragmented. My money is on the latter.

It is silly isnt it... I kind of found it hard to believe myself.

Anyhow game runs find with the new card. I got about an hours worth of play in last night. Created charecter and got through the early scenes.

Made a human female rouge for some reason only 'noble' was a selection.

It is somewhat reminescent of NWN which is not a bad thing though I am still a bit lost in the interface, charecter sheet, leveling and all that is quite different. I havent even looked in the manual.

BTW I named my mutt "Sputum"

The gems you find are the exact same ones from NWN. Topaz, malachite, etc.

Have to disagree on that one. Every other game runs without problems and the last I checked lot of people are suffering crashes with the game.

Ow well, they're looking into it, so I'll wait.

Got it today, and have got to lvl 3 as a Dalish Elf (just call me Mr pointy ears!).

Played for nearly 2 hours with no problems at all/CTD's etc.

Yep Ive read the threads of problems crashing.

I can thandfully say after thourgh play testing (a 3 hour marithon for me) not one single crash, glitch, or other debacle.

Solid as a rock.

I have everything maxed except for AA which is at 4x. Game is beautiful with an engaging story line, good charecter development, and Morgana

Is it crashing at cut scenes perchance?

Still think it's the hardware/system that's at fault here, but we'll see. Might be a memory leak or poor management, causing isuues for people with 2GB or less.

Weird, this is the first game in a looong time that works faultlessly out of the box for me.

Said it before but; this game is seriously frickin difficult. Normally I horde potions, now I can't hold on to them. It's the side-quests that kill you, but they pay so well.

Well, I got 4GB of ram so that shouldnt be the issue. Need to update every single driver I can think of and see if it works.

And yes, the game is darn hard! I started first as a human rogue, but got my arse kicked all the time. Now went with human warrior and it seems to be quite alot easier.

Personaly do not have any problems with crashing, but there is a noticeable slowdown in how fast store menus and conversations start after about 6 hours o´f gameplay

As in 6 hours of continuos play?

You know what's best about my crashes? When I'm thrown back to desktop, a steam news thingy pops up every time. It's like "Want to play our games? Want to? Yeh I know you want to! Well guess what! BUY ANOTHER GAME AND MAYBE THAT ONE WORKS, YOU PIECE OF ****!"

LOL what got me was when I talked to a random NPC whom directs you to a 'new quest' involving addittional content which required a purchase and download.

So in a way bioware put salesmen in their game

Some of the scenairos are quite difficult and require a ton of micromanagement. To me it seems a lot more hectic and frentic than NWN did.
