Alien
Well, I saw Alien (my favourite film of all time) at a midnight screening at the Vue complex in Edinburgh when it was re-released a few years ago. There were only about 50 or so people in attendance, in particular a group of about a dozen kids aged about 18-20 sitting near the front. For the first 15 minutes they were joking around, generally making a lot of noise and giggling, etc. However, the scenes of the alien derelict, Space Jockey and facehugger cut the noise output close to zero, and when John Hurt bites it there were visible jumps of fear, and stifled screams from a couple of the girls. Even a few of the guys had their hands over their eyes when Harry Dean Stanton goes looking for the cat.

By far the best part was where the Captain, Tom Skerritt, is in the air shafts looking for the creature. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen the film, but that bit produced the biggest collective scream I have ever heard in a cinema . It was great to see that at least some kids haven't been completely desensitised by crap like Saw, Hostel, etc.

The Shining for all time best horror movie, but The Ring scared the crap out of me. Probably shouldnt have watched it all alone in the dark.

Since I have been a little boy(yes even I have been a little kid)

I had this fascination for scary movies. Don't ask me why.

My favorite Scary movie?? Hmm...er..

Well there's lots og them, so it's hart to pick one.

but somehow I must say that those from the olderdays, like those Dracula movies(starring Christopher Lee) has it's charm.

A couple a years ago, I watch one of those Dracula movies again, I just can't remember wich it was, but Lee was the Count and it was in colour
While watching it, I thought for my self...

lol...and that movie made me afraid from going, to sleep when I was a little boy.

Remember how I was watching this movie throu the narrow opening in the door. (they we're talking German)and we had only a black and white tv at that time.
