Freaky coincidence, you two should get together and swap notes on not having girlfriends

Sorry, only kidding. SH3 and Das Boot is better than teens around here who spend Friday night causing trouble.

There is hope for us...

1. We admitted we were powerless over the U-boat War - that our naval careers had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that BdU could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our boats and our crews over to the care of BdU as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearful tonnage inventory of successes.

5. Admitted to BdU, to ourselves and to another Kaleun the exact nature of our sinkings.

6. Were entirely ready to have BdU remove all these successes from our records.

7. Humbly asked BdU to remove us from our command.

8. Made a list of all vessels we had harmed, and became willing to make payments on their repairs.

9. Made direct deposits into the accounts of Allied shipyards whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to make accurate log entries and when we were sunk promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through surfacing and snorkeling to improve our radio contact with BdU as we understood Him, radioing only for knowledge of His orders for us and the torpedoes to carry that out.

12. Having had a successful patrol as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Kaleuns and to practice these principles in all our attacks.

I heard that there was a cure. It was called SH4. It would relieve the SH3 bug. It turned out to be like methadone - now I'm addicted to both.

There is no help. If you're reading this, run while you still can!

one more thing.
why do we all play game which we know we will always lose?

not just that the war always ends in the allies favour, but i have yet to live to see the end of the war. even if i start in april 45.

uboat.net made me get into SH3. its their fault, not mine......!

my family suffers. my kids only get rye bread with a growth of mold. they stare at me when i tell them its more realistic to eat it that way.

its not my fault.

my wife asked me where the new market was in town. i told 270 degrees hard rudder starboard from the bus stop.

its not my fault.

somone dropped a shotglass of green peppermint shnapps into my beer. it looked like a familiar canister i had seen somewhere before. i took the mug and my hands began to shake.

its not my fault.

i saw a corvette park in front of our house (my sister) and promptly dove under the coach before i realised what i was doing.

its not my fault.

ive started taking german classes. just...umm....for the hell of it?

its not my fault

For me the addiction started years ago when I was playing Silent Service (waaay back in 8th grade). I tried to quit and found some comfort in the 688sims.. I found silent hunter two, it was like a recreational gateway drug...ok till something better came along. Of course something better came along and got better still with the emergence of GWX. Yes, Im hooked... my wife knows it, kids know it and they still love me while Im out on patrol.
