Thanks for all the advice. Although I have photoshop and save in 24bit, still doesn't work. other tga work fine. Well, seems I have to live with it.

Modify the texture and save it as .BMP
Then open the TGA you want to modify, and copy the modified BMP as new layer. Save, and go out. The program will warn you that the TGA format only allows one layer and an alpha channel. That's OK, save and exit. Should be ready now ![]()
