Let's see what BoB:SoW brings us. One thing I'd like to have is something I experienced in FSX flying the BF109E. If you roll left and quickly roll back right, you can feel the controls being VERY "loose", kinda like there not being any air resistance on the other wing. That was cool.

If it ever brings us...

Hopefully not another flight sim set in the Olegverse though, I'd like to be able to shoot down bombers with machine guns this time

Anyway, I can't see how IL-2 is arcadey compared to CFS3...

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried the Kharkov game but can't seem to get my head around the controls as of yet.

The reason I find IL2 so arcadey is because the controls are so ropey and unresponsive.

In CFS3 I knew what the plane would do, and I could adjust it to respond more realistically or more reliably.

I also find the UI of IL2 extremely cheap and tacky but my MAIN gripe is that I cannot seem to find a good way of starting a long and interesting campaign.

Hi C B Check over in the Helio forum for CFS3 link to websites that have alot of free d\lds of planes , missions , and campains for CFS3.

I'm gonna get CFS3 just for that reason.

Il-2 Forgotten Battles has a much better campaign than the original.

For the controls, try increasing the sensitivity of your joystick or reducing the deadzone. In some planes unresponsive controls are realistic. Some WWII fighters weren't all that nimble, and don't expect to be flying aerobatics in the TB-3!

Yea. Il2 1946 is a good flight sim. (and by UI dont ya mean AI. cause there is a m*d over at the mod site that makes the AI alittle more realistic.)

No, by UI he means User Interface, and I can't see how the UI would be any problem in IL-2 because there practically isn't any...
