Vista or XP ??

If XP what does the error pop up say on CTD

When the pop up appears after CTD click on the blue text " click here "

Go to Control Panel\Problem reports and solutions

Click view problem history on the left

and double click latest SH3 error

The olde "save game CTD" nightmare!

I personally don't think it has anything to do with proximity to ships or land. I frequently save close to port when heading out on patrol and those early patrol saves never give me trouble. However, once I sink a vessel for the first time on patrol or if I have been attacked, then any save I make after that point seems to ALWAYS CTD.

That's one of the reasons I play over the weekends now...start a mission on Friday night, leave it open all weekend, and end it in Port by Monday morning.

yes, thats a point, but since i got also a ctd while playing ( but thats not sooo often) i started to save more often. nothing sucks more than hunting the whole night, using the best tacktics, be happy like a child for sinking some merchants and then end with a ctd...
