I, like a few others in Subsim, have been to war in RL. We lost a number of comrades. In real life one becomess enured to the loss of friends. We had a drink to their memory and kept on flying. The worst was visiting a friend's family (in Laos, we had accompanying families ).
Just like in real life, when returning to port I have a drink, remember those who died and get ready to go out again. The subsim community teaches us respect for the real thing.
