Coordinated Attacks

(First for any forum police out there...yes I did do a search on this question before posting

I'm just coming back to SH4 after putting it aside for a while. Is there any way of conducting a coordinated attack with another friendly submarine in SH4. In the back of my mind I seem to remember a comment that it was going to be in the next upgrade (U-boat missions??) but for all I can see that was just wishful thinking.
