Do destroyers have super sensitive IR detectors or something?

I am chillin out at 392 feet, engines off... silent running turned on. And they come over me and drop DC with excellent accuracy as if someone on my sub is taking a little hammer and hitting the side of the hull to let them know where I am. No pinging was used, so I assume he was relying on passive sonar. What gives?  I am using TMO w/RSRD mods as an FYI. |
