I killed 2 destroyers in one patrol...

I just finished my second patrol with U-564 from Brest & I sank 2 DD's! The first was HMCS Saguenay (I feel a bit like a traitor as I'm Canadian ). I was trying to approach a covoy in BF15 at 4:34 am (game time). I came in diagonally but the weather was too rough (15 meter waves) & I just couldn't get in close enough to tag a merchant. As I was feeling frustrated (& maybe a little reckless too ) I decided to try for the destroyer that was positioned at my side of the convoy. We submerged & let the DD pass by close enough to launch a G7a. It hit her bow & blew her apart. Didn't stick around to see if there were any survivors (why invite trouble?).

After destroying a lone Empire-Type freighter in BF11 we sailed up to AM02 & intercepted another convoy. This time I got in to a better approach position. It was overcast & the seas were rough. The first ship that crossed my path was HMS Jupiter. I think that she was damaged but all that I could see was some thicker than normal black smoke but no holes or fires. Maybe the Luftwaffe attacked her before I came along; I don't know. She got within optimal range and I tagged her. Another massive explosion & she was gone. Maintaining course & speed I proceeded to stalk a medium cargo ship. She drifted to within range and I launched my 3 remaining forward torpedoes.
Three explosions later she was well on her way to the bottom. I had one stern eel left & there was this tramp steamer that seemed to say "Sink me too!". We executed a 180 degree turn & I let her have it. We then dived to about 108 meters & went to silent running. By this time the surviving escorts were busily looking for us so I think that we'd more than overstayed our welcome. We remained at 108 meters & in silent running mode and after 15 minutes my navigator informed me that the tramp steamer had sunk. Waiting until the escorts had given up & were long gone, we surfaced and headed for home. Three ships out that convoy: I guess that I made up for that first one.
