we need to stop static damage

twice in the last 2 weeks i've experienced totally random death on the surface. dunno if this is what the OP is talking about, but I was basically just cruising on the surface, on my way to patrol area, nowhere near any land, shallow water, other ships, planes etc, and the crew start screaming that everything is breaking/damaged. if i don't sink right away I usually end up succombing to a fuel leak.

Both times I hadn't even been in a fight with anything so i can't have been damaged.

edit: this is with U-boot expansion, TMO sp1, and spaxspore's german voice mod.
