wwi U-35 problem, imports ok but then crashes

basics,, She is based on the 9B model

all parts do import.

traced the problem to the main hull of the 9b I ma replacing with the main hull of the U35.
game will lock up on the start

tested,, not caused by the tower,

tested import of hull only,, not importing the parts,, the issue seems there alone as that is when it locks

texture is tga 1024 by 1024

running SHIII Basic, no addons.

any ideas??
