wwi U-35 problem, imports ok but then crashes
basics,, She is based on the 9B model
all parts do import. traced the problem to the main hull of the 9b I ma replacing with the main hull of the U35. game will lock up on the start tested,, not caused by the tower, tested import of hull only,, not importing the parts,, the issue seems there alone as that is when it locks texture is tga 1024 by 1024 running SHIII Basic, no addons. any ideas?? |
I checked the poly issue too
the game sub (9b) is 5286 poly count and my new hull is 3548, so it is not a poly load issue either
Hi Mik, Ill give that a try too! |
tried that 512 trick. no luck
finally back on the home machine
she still refuses to load in game, I went back to the base model, polys are less than orig by 1/3 texture is corrrect size and type,, both import into the game just fine. but in the scenero loadup,, it fails every time. I have confirmed, it is only the hull that is the problem,, all other parts will load and show. Just the silly hull, any suggestions |
Ill give it a try.
I was unable to DL that file,, but over these days in San Diego I looked through your Sboat files and figured out the torpedo items
now the UB-I class is properly armed,, two tubes, two fish, corrected the following too. periscope depth, Crash dive depth, crush depth (confirmed that in a really bad Depth charging and went too deep), So as a Boat, UB-I is making strides. Stability I think is a game limitation due to her 28 mt size. Just have to live with the spins, Unless someone out ther much smarter than I can firgure that out. Back on U-35, I'll keep plugging away on her. I have a great model and texture someone gave to me on her,, just having the fun of getting her into the game hehehehehe After that, then I will take on changing the medals and awards, and title screens. so, Off I go again, thanks for the help!!! :D \ |
