Need hits or tips

I have a mission to photograph Carriers in Manila harbor. From the mouth of the harbor to the "star" is 30nm and most is periscope depth and of course the destroyers guarding it. I am doing 1/3 (the war will be over before I get back

) Any tips from you guys that have done harbor missions. I looked at Tokyo harbor and it has some deep spot where you can hide for a while, this one doesn't. I did save a seperate file, if I don't make it I can try a different technique.

Edit: How far away do the destroyers have to be to try ahead 2/3, I am assuming if I have a blue line pointing at them, then I am picking up their noise, so they could pick up me? Correct? Also, will I get a map line pointing to the carriers if they are anchored? This is picking up noise right? It would help find them but it would also confuse who is who.
