Bernard got me run over!

Prowling around by Rekjavik habour and feeling quite pleased with having sunk a Type S sub and a class C&D ship, when my sonarman who I can only assume is Bernard who snuck aboard, shouts out 'Ship, bearing 087, closing, short range' or words to that effect. I stick the periscope up for a quick look and all I can see is this ship bearing down on me! I only have time to drop the 'scope when the ship plows into me and rips the scope clean off! Still, I manage to wander away fairly undamaged, but the ship rapidly sinks. I wish Bernard would give me more warning of these things.
