Kptlt. J.S. Balz writes:

07 August 1941
U-502
CG7252

Enroute to my patrol sector, I brilliantly intercepted a somewhat scattered north-bound convoy. Sent one impact torpedo toward a medium freighter at 2100 meters
and one magnetic at a large freight at 1200 meters and aob 30. Both shots superbly aimed, I must add.

The first torpedo hit and the ship blew up in a chain of explosions.

The second exploded on time, but the fool of my torpedo officer announced we had missed. Doesn't the idiot know that Balz never misses?

Anyway, we're going deep as a Black Swan is approaching with impolite intent.
I listen the screw beats of the freighter. Definetely slowing and it is now creeping.

Now, Black Swan is stationary. Freighter is stationary, We sneak away.

When freighter gives way to the Black Swan by sinking, the escort proceeds having forgotten about us.

We will have another go at this convoy tonight after choir practice. We will practice: Balz's March to Victory, einz, zwei, hoochie woochie.

Always supassing in excellence,
Kptlt. Johan Sebastian Balz
